| The Firm |
| Mitchell Architects Inc. has been in continuous operation since 1964, originally under the leadership of architects Trevor Bywater and Fred Wallis. Paul Mitchell joined the firm in 1990 and took an ownership interest in 1995. He became President and principal shareholder with the retirement of Trevor Bywater in 1997. The history and experience that resides in the firm is considerable, as is the depth of our current resources. With offices in North Bay and Huntsville, Mitchell Architects offer three licensed architects, and a total staff complement of 15 people, working as an experienced team. We are committed to service beyond expectations and strive to provide superior attention to our client needs and wishes. Paul Mitchell graduated from Carleton University with High Distinction and was awarded the Raymore Medal for the highest provincial standing in professional licensing examinations. Paul represented Northern Ontario on Council of the Ontario Association of Architects for seven years and was elected President of the OAA in 2003. In 2004, Paul was honoured to be elevated to the College of Fellows of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. As Principal Architect, Paul is responsible for the design of many successful projects throughout northern Ontario, and is particularly recognized for expertise in the Long Term Care sector. With fellow principals and shareholders John Weinhardt and Bob Halliday, we are guided in our work by a fundamental commitment to the pursuit of excellence in design and construction. The quality of a professional service is entirely dependent upon the talents and abilities of the individuals who comprise the organization. Over time, Mitchell Architects Inc. have brought together a group of people, in whom we take great pride, not only for their personal strengths, but also for their ability to work together as a team toward a common goal. The responsibility and enthusiasm for the quality of service we provide is shared throughout the organization. |
